IT Support Technician Home based £22k – £27k p.a. + benefits

The Role

As IT Support Technician you will act as first and second line support for customer queries, ensuring helpdesk tickets are resolved and managed effectively. Work is predominantly telephone based, with some on-call work. Your responsibilities include:

  • building relationships with customers across different industries
  • end to end ticket management of queries, including action, escalation and follow-up
  • systems and process on boarding for all new customers
  • incident management including monitoring, taking action, escalation where necessary
  • reporting / regular meetings / projects etc to meet ad-hoc requirements

The role is mostly home based with some local client visits.

A Managed Service Provider predominantly servicing the SME market across a variety of industries, working across a wide range of technologies. They specialise in bringing large corporate technology to SME marketplace.

The Person

As IT Support Technician you have worked in a 1st / 2nd line support IT helpdesk role with experience in Active Directory Administration, ticket system management, delivering desktop and Microsoft Windows / Office365 support. As a customer focused IT professional you will also have:

  • understanding of TCP / IP and LAN / WAN
  • knowledge of IT infrastructure, including active directory administration
  • good telephone manner / customer service / communication skills
  • ability to multi-task / manage high volume varied workload

Knowledge of PowerShell scripting / Kaseya BMS & VSA / Cisco Meraki product range also useful.

The role is mostly home based with some local client visits.
