Front end Developer role for digital sports media business based in South West

Front End Developer Bath up to £70k p.a. + benefits d.o.e.
The Role
As Front End Developer you will have a hands on role developing the company web and mobile app products. You will work in a flat structure, in a large experienced and innovative team, of Developers, POs and QA Engineers with the opportunity to influence the direction / technologies of the app, whilst also gaining valuable internal & external stakeholder management experience. You’ll work with Product Owners and the Technical Lead to prioritise the frontend workload and to ensure the app is user-friendly and visually appealing. Responsibilities will include:
- liaising with stakeholders to ensure app / web products are up to date / in line with business priorities
- developing relationships with the wider digital team
- helping to enhance web performance
- working closely with product owners to ensure standards are met
- problem solving / resolving bugs / working with the QA team
- working with team to develop their skills
There may be occasional weekend work during periods of busy app development

Our client is a digital sports media business, and a leading creator of digital sports videos.
The Person
As Front End Developer you will have experience in a similar role managing senior stakeholders and their expectations, internally and externally. You will have the following skills / knowledge / experience:
- writing scalable JavaScript / jQuery functioning
- ability to write HTML /CSS
- frontend frameworks eg. React / Angular
- working on applications with a serverless database – Google
- excellent communication skills
- interest in developing vue.js as framework would be advantageous
