Business Development Manager Remote / home working £30k to £35k p.a. + benefits

Passionate and dedicated Business Development Manager needed for rapidly expanding IT skills management company to grow their digital and IT based apprenticeship programme

The Role

As Business Development Manager you will be part of a specialist sales team responsible for growth of company digital, data and IT based apprenticeships. As first point of contact to verify / validate new business enquiries via social media, direct contact, email, and other referrals, your duties will include:

  • new business acquisition / consultative selling / cold calling / social selling
  • networking and analysis of training needs
  • lead generation / conversion to seek opportunities in targeted areas
  • identifying leads in emerging or untapped markets
  • account management – understanding client’s needs in relation to apprentice programme
  • coordinating / assisting with delivery of agreed services (recruitment & training)
  • project managing client levy funds as required
  • attending recruitment / business development events / business consultations as required

Our client is a skills management company working closely with businesses to provide high quality IT and digital training and apprenticeship programme management services. As a technology driven organisation, they have years of experience acquiring and training talent for all types and sizes of organisations. Their programmes include globally recognised professional qualifications from Microsoft, CompTIA and Google. Based in Portsmouth, they are currently undergoing a rapid expansion phase.

The Person

As Business Development Manager you will have a passion for all things digital with experience selling digital & tech training, as well as relationship building skills in a variety of business sectors / organisations. With apprenticeship sales experience and levy knowledge you will also have the following:

  • competence in Microsoft Office
  • experience in social selling from lead research to conversion
  • knowledge of technical apprenticeships standards
  • excellent customer relations and account management skills
  • ability to conduct Training Needs Analysis with businesses, mainly SME market
