Bar / Restaurant Supervisor Portishead £10 to £11 per hour d.o.e. + benefits + tips
Do you have experience in Hospitality sector? Successful and busy Portishead based bar and restaurant needs full time Shift Leader to cover daytime, evening and weekend shifts.
The Role
As Shift Leader / Supervisor you will assist the duty manager in the day to day running of the Bar & Restaurant areas, in this hands on and customer facing role. Duties will include:
- supervision of FOH team members on shift
- occasional opening up / closing of the premises and cashing up
- cellar duties ( preparing cask ales & line cleaning – training can be provided if required)
- working with FOH staff serving customers in bar & restaurant taking orders / waiting tables
- taking telephone customer bookings
This role is for between 36 and 40 hours weekly including a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts.

The Person
As Shift Leader / Supervisor you will already have experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector with great customer service skills. You will also need:
- enthusiasm and a friendly approach
- ability to communicate effectively with team members
- ability to multitask and maintain focus during busy shifts
- cellar management experience is advantageous ( but training is available )
