Back End Developer Bath up to £55k p.a. + benefits d.o.e.

The Role

As Back End Developer you will work with modern technologies on the most up-to-date tech stacks and serverless databases, designing and building the backend of backend applications and data processing pipelines. Upholding high engineering standards and liaising the Technical Lead, CTO and the wider digital team with your duties will include:

  • working with serverless architecture to ensure all data / security
  • ensuring PSNs / APIs / services remain secure
  • problem solving / resolving bugs / maintaining functionality of backend infrastructure
  • developing relationships with wider digital team

There is a dedicated training time each week, so you will have the opportunity to enhance your skill set and the technologies that you use.

Our client is a digital sports media business, and a leading creator of digital sports videos.

The Person

As Back End Developer you will have experience in a similar role with knowledge / experience of:

  • writing scalable JavaScript (Node.js) and TypeScript
  • backend frameworks eg Express
  • good communication skills
  • finding shortcoming in existing applications and infrastructure
  • architecting code to be efficient and future proof
